MY Bharat Portal Registration & "Nasha Mukt Yuva For Viksit Bharat" Pledge Ceremony Held at GASC Vedasandur

In a major step toward youth empowerment and social responsibility, National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit No-130 of Government Arts and Science College, Vedasandur organized a special program for MY Bharat Portal Registration alongside a collective pledge ceremony under the "Nasha Mukt Yuva For Viksit Bharat" (Drug-Free Youth for a Developed India) campaign. The event was conducted at Thiruvalluvar Arangam within the college campus.

Focus on Youth Empowerment & Substance Abuse Awareness:

The primary objective of the program was twofold: to onboard Gen-Z students onto the Government of India’s MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) platform and to mobilize them against substance abuse. Through the portal registration, students gain access to opportunities for leadership development, experiential learning, and community service.

Simultaneously, as part of the nation-wide anti-addiction initiative, participating students took a solemn pledge to reject drug and alcohol abuse, promising to lead a healthy lifestyle and actively work toward building a drug-free, developed nation (Viksit Bharat).

Dignitaries and Key Addresses:

The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. A. Karthikeyan (NSS Officer, Government Arts and Science College, Vedasandur).

The session was presided over by Dr. K. M. Sumathi, Principal (FAC), who highlighted the crucial role of the youth in nation-building and urged students to utilize platforms like MY Bharat and NSS to build essential life skills and character.

The function was graced by Sivashanmugam E, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat Kendra - Dindigul (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India), as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the importance of staying away from addictive substances and encouraged students to actively participate in civic engagements to make a meaningful impact on society.
